Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Is the course material faith based?

A.  No, none of the material presented in the course lessons and readings are faith based. Our goal is to help young writers of all faiths and denominations achieve success in their writing endeavors, and though they are welcome to write on subjects of faith in their own assignments, none will be presented to them directly.

Q. What if the student needs to miss a week or two of class?

A. We understand that homeschooling allows the unique opportunity for travel and other family obligations which may occasionally take a student away from internet access and therefore a week or so of class time. This is generally not a problem and work can be made up either before the absence or upon return. Work needs to be completed by the final day of class and teachers will make every effort to assist students and families work out a mutually beneficial make up schedule.

Q. Do I need to purchase a Companion Manual?

A. The Companion Manuals are offered as a compliment to the course materials for students who would like additional practice on skills taught in lessons. They are not required to complete the course. These Companion Manuals may be ordered at the time of registration or any time during the 8 week course. Manuals are not shipped overseas and are supplied only as pdf files for these students.

Q. Can I request a refund?

A. Refunds are dealt with on a case by case basis. Any concerns should be addressed directly to the instructor with the goal of making the course work well for each individual student and their independent needs. Should every attempt be made to address these needs and a refund still be requested, the refund is generally prorated by number of course weeks posted at the time as well as a $25 registration fee.

Within 14 days, if a student needs to halt their course progress for any reason, they will be given the opportunity to roll their full tuition into a future course no questions asked.
